Hi there, just thought I’d tell you a bit about myself. I have been interested in ancient sites for many years and am forever finding out new information and more sites. But there are so many in the United Kingdom that it is difficult to know just where to start. Our land abounds with ancient monuments and the like. So I thought having this blog was a good enough reason to share some of them with you folks out there. I am the author of a book about Celtic saints and have long held an interest in ancient crosses, holy wells and saints shrines etc, not just on the so-called Celtic fringes, but all over our beautiful island. Also, I have a fairly large collection of books on these subjects and reading these books takes up a lot of my time, but it’s all worth it in the end as I’m sure this blog will be. So, thank you for taking the time to browse the sites on here and I hope, like me, you too will get enjoyment out of our great “British” history – because it is “Great”.
